late winter gathering

Looking out the window right now I’m surrounded by a world of grey. The once-white snow is a slush and icy mixture that makes leaving the door an adventure in itself. The cars on the road show the wear of the last few months and my skin is craving the sun. It’s that time of year when cabin fever sets in and we need some excitement in our lives. Translation: it’s the perfect time for hosting a late winter gathering. Good drinks, better friends and a low-key night toasting to the end of the season. Somehow we’ve survived another winter.

So refill your drink, kick up your heels, throw another log on the fire and settle in for an evening among friends. You’ve earned it.
